The New Territory Arts Association
Benton Harbor, MI
Founded in 1998 in order to develop and promote The Benton Harbor Arts District, the
New Territory Arts Association is a grassroots organization dedicated to the revitalization
of Benton Harbor through the Arts. The NTAA has been responsible for many
special district events including the annual Arts District Banner Projects, The Fall Festival
of the Arts, the NTAA Mural Project, and the Benton Harbor City Market. The
New Territory Arts Association Scholarship Fund provides assistance with art education
for community youth by helping with tuition for classes at The Citadel Dance
Center, Water Street Glasswork's "Fired Up!" program, and other regional art education
curricula. The NTAA also sponsors The Benton Harbor Children's Art Fair and
other area arts related programs.

With a class on dulcimer building and a combination of natural musical skills and carpentry abilities, the next step was to build and play a variety of acoustical stringed instruments, including the harp, guitar, and both mountain and hammered dulcimers. <p>Teaming up with vocalist Judy Sutton, he released his first CD "Faithful Endeavors" in 2000; in 2003 Carl was joined by Sally Ceresko in the release of "Frosty Morning." <p>for directions to Solid Grounds Cafe 124 Water Street in the Arts District of downtown Benton Harbor, Michigan','www.solid-groundscafe.com')){kind=link}
